Hyundai has released a preview of the upcoming Verna sedan in design sketches. The all-new sedan will have a sleeker front-end styling with connected LED DRLs and a wide, trapezoidal grille flanked by the headlights and faux air dams. 

In the profile, the new Verna has a sloping coupe-esque roofline and sharp creases on the bodywork. It also sports a new, dual-tone alloy wheel design, and at the rear, connected LED taillights.

With pre-launch bookings already open, the sedan will go on sale on March 21, 2023. 

It’ll get a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with a six-speed manual and seven-speed DCT automatic, while the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol unit with a six-speed manual and an iVT (CVT) automatic transmission will be retained from the outgoing model. All the powertrains will be compliant with the upcoming RDE norms and will be E-20 ready as well. The sedan will be offered in EX, S, SX, and SX(O) trim levels.
