Maruti FRONX Expected Price 8.00 Lakh, Launch Date

Launch: It is expected to go on sale in India by March 2023.

Price: The carmaker could price it from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.

Variants: Maruti Fronx will be offered in five trims: Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta and Alpha.

Colours: It is available in three dual-tone and six monotone colours: Earthen Brown with Bluish Black roof, Opulent Red with Bluish Black roof, Splendid Silver with Bluish Black roof, Earthen Brown, Arctic White, Opulent Red, Grandeur Grey and Splendid Silver.

Seating Capacity: It’s a five-seater subcompact crossover.

Engine and Transmission: It comes equipped with a 1-litre turbo-petrol BoosterJet engine (making 100PS and 148Nm), with mild-hybrid technology.  It also gets the 1.2-litre Dual Jet petrol unit (making 90PS and 113Nm) from the Baleno. The former is offered with a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic, while the latter can be had with a five-speed manual and five-speed AMT.

Features: The Fronx gets a wireless phone charging pad but the rest of the features are borrowed from the Baleno. These include a nine-inch infotainment system, heads-up display, cruise control, auto climate control and a 360-degree camera.

Safety: Passenger safety equipment includes six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold assist, a 360-degree camera, ISOFIX anchors and ABS with EBD.
